NDML is the second KRA appointed by SEBI after CVL.

Mumbai: NDML (NSDL Database Management Ltd), a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL), has received in-principle approval from SEBI as KYC Registration Agency (KRA).

“NDML has received the in-principle approval to set up the KRA. We expect to go live in a few days,” said Sameer Gupte, Vice President, NSDL Database Management Ltd.

NDML was set up in 2004. It has established Central Record-keeping Agency (CRA) for NPS and Tax Information Network (TIN) for Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).

NDML is the second KRA appointed by SEBI. Cafemutual had first reported that CVL was appointed as the first KRA. Read here. The common KYC process has become effective from January 1, 2012.
